Requirements: 
  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Finance / Accountancy, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of direct experience in finance or accounting, with 2 years in managerial level.
  • Experience in cost accounting and working in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and ERP System.
  • Energetic, meticulous, result oriented and hand on.
  • Willing to work in Banting (Olak Lempit) and travel to Kajang when required.
  • Willing and able to travel aboard frequently.
Responsibilities: 
  • Oversee the Finance function of certain subsidiaries within the Group on the daily operations including Accounts and Store Functions.
  • Responsible for the subsidiaries’ accounting functions which includes preparation of financial and management reports, annual budgets, costing reports, fixed assets register, inter-company / bank / accounts payable / accounts receivables / inventory reconciliations, yearly and half yearly stock take, cash flow projection and taxation matters.
  • Check and verify payment to all accounts payable to ensure that payments are in order and in compliance with standard operating and accounting procedures / the limit of authority.
  • Guide the Executive Directors on managing of the subsidiaries’ expenditures, cost structures and tax payments by streamlining business processes, improving operational efficiency and cost effectiveness and achieving cost savings for the subsidiaries.
  • Periodically review and analyse budgeted performance against actual performance.
  • Ensure that the subsidiaries’ accounting policies comply with the Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards and other statutory requirements.
  • Periodically review to enhance the financial and management accounting system including standard operating and accounting procedures.
  • Analyse product cost, implement pricing policies, budget/forecast, business process improvement and cost control for the subsidiaries.
  • Handle all regulatory and taxation compliance matters including tax computations, tax return submission, tax payments / refund, tax planning, GST computation, GST return submission, GST payments / refund and GST planning.
  • Liaise with the Group’s appointed auditors and tax agents.
  • Liaise with bankers and handle overall treasury function include LC, BA, foreign exchange, hedging and other relevant documents.
  • To coordinate renewal of government related / statutory licenses.
  • To monitor and control all the daily operation of inventory management
  • To ensure smooth running of total operation of the warehouse, incoming, storage and outgoing activities.
  • To ensure the operation of the fixed assets management of the subsidiaries are  carried out smoothly and efficiently.
  • To follow up with customers on the collection of sales proceeds and to prepare sales reports for management.
  • To handle issuance of Purchase Requisition and Purchase Orders when required.
  • To coach, guide and train staff to build a strong team.
  • To inform the Head of Finance immediately if inconsistency and / or fraud is discovered in any accounts / finance related matters.
  • Manage and perform any ad-hoc tasks/projects that may be assigned from time to time by Management.
