  • Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree or Professional Degree in Finance / Accountancy, ACCA, CIMA, CPA or equivalent.
  • At least 8 years of direct experience in finance or accounting, with 2 years in managerial level.
  • Experience in cost accounting and working in a manufacturing environment is an added advantage.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point and ERP System.
  • Energetic, meticulous, result oriented and hand on.
  • Willing to work in Banting (Olak Lempit) and travel to Kajang when required.

The key roles and responsibilities of the above position will be as follows:             

  1. Oversee the Finance Functions within the company on the daily operations including Accounts and Store function.
  2. Responsible for the company’s overall accounting functions which includes preparation of financial and management reports, annual budgets reports, costing reports, fixed assets register, inter-company / bank / accounts payable / accounts receivable / Inventory reconciliations, Yearly and half yearly stock take, cash flow projection and taxation matters.
  3. Check and verify payment to all accounts payable to ensure that payments are in order and in compliance with standard operating and accounting procedures / the limits of authority.
  4. Guide the Executive Directors on managing of the group’s subsidiaries’ expenditures, cost structures and tax payments by streamlining business processes, improving operational efficiency and cost effectiveness and achieving cost savings for the company.
  5. Periodically review and analyze budgeted performance against actual performance of the company.
  6. Ensure that the company’s accounting policies complies with the Malaysia Financial Reporting Standards and the Bursa Malaysia Listing Requirements, Securities Commission’s Policies and Guidelines and all statutory requirements.
  7. Periodically review to enhance the financial and management accounting system of the company including standard operating and accounting procedures.
  8. Analyze product cost, implement pricing policies, budget / forecast, business process improvement and cost control projects for the company.
  9. Handle all regulatory and taxation compliance matters including tax computations, tax return submission, tax payments / refund, tax planning, SST computation, SST returns submission, SST payments / refund and  SST planning.
  10. Handle the company secretarial matters and liaise with external company secretary.
  11. Liaise with the Group’s appointed auditors and tax agents.
  12. Liaise with bankers and handle overall treasury function include LC, BA, foreign exchange, Hedging and other& relevant documents.
  13. To coordinate renewal of government related / statutory licenses.
  14. To monitor and control all the daily operation of inventory management.
  15. To ensure smooth running of total operation of the warehouse, incoming, storage and outgoing activities.
  16. To ensure the operation of the fixed assets management of the company carried out smoothly and efficiently.
  17. To follow up with customers on the collection of sales proceeds and to prepare sales reports for management.
  18. To handle issuance of Purchase Requisition and Purchase Orders when required.
  19. Conduct risk management and corporate governance assessments and recommend solutions or action for directors’ approval.
  20. To coach, guide and train staff and build a strong team.
  21. To inform the Head of Finance immediately if inconsistency or fraud is discovered in any accounts / finance related matters.
  22. Manage and perform any ad-hoc tasks/projects that may be assigned from time to time by Management.
